Finn reise 2.0

This project explored how to broaden the appeal to younger users while continuing to deliver value to the existing user base. The goal was to develop a more intuitive and user-friendly search and booking service that improves on current solutions, making it easier to gain a clear overview and compare hotels, flights, and travel options in a simple and efficient way.
The target group included both travelers who enjoy planning and experiencing trips together, and those who prefer a well-structured and detailed itinerary. The concept was designed to accommodate different travel styles while ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Throughout the three-month project period, we applied a wide range of methods, including workshops, mapping, visualizations, user journeys, user testing, desktop research, trend cards, prototyping, and both traditional and exploratory interviews.

We were commissioned to further develop FINN.no’s existing travel service, FINN Reise. The objective was to explore how the service could better attract younger users, while at the same time retaining and creating continued value for its current audience.

FINN Reise is now a standalone app. It enables users to explore and compare transportation, accommodation, and experience options in one place. At the same time, it provides a clear, simple, and efficient way to plan trips, whether traveling alone or together with others.

The homepage now serves as a central hub where users can directly access ongoing searches, view the latest updates to existing travel plans, or initiate new searches ans access to relevant planning. 
Plan your trip together in a seamless and collaborative way. You can see which members are currently active, identified by the color of their cursor, making it easy to stay updated on who is participating at any given time. By clicking on a profile, you can follow other members as they move between screens, allowing for a more dynamic and shared planning experience. The app also lets you schedule meetings and create polls to find a time that works for everyone. In addition, you can call or FaceTime each other directly within the platform, making it simple to discuss ideas and make decisions in real time.
